How to Use .jdp Files

If you have ever been sent .jdp files and curious how to use them, here's how!

1. Log into your Raven Slingshot account on your computer.  If you do not have an account, you can also request one here.
2. Click the option to "Import File".
   
   
   
3. With the dropdown enabled, select "My Library".
   
   
   
4. Navigate to where your .jdp file(s) is/are located, select it/them, and click the "Open" button.
   
   
   
5. You will be notified that the file(s) have been uploaded successfully to your library.  Click the "OK" button.
   
   
   
6. You will see that the file(s) are Pending until they are ready to be viewed/exported out as shapefiles.
   
   
   
7. Once they have fully uploaded, you can now select the file(s) you wish to export as shapefiles by selecting them and then selecting the Download option.
   
   
   
8. Select the Shapefile option and then click the "Download" option.
   
   
   
9. You will have the option to download the file(s) or add additional ones.  Once you are satisfied with your file selection, click the "Go" button.
   
   
   
10. In the Download Manager, select the file(s) to download and then click the Download button.
    
    
    
11. You will now see the file(s) in your Downloads.
    
    
    
12. Once you have extracted the file(s), you will then be able to use your Shapefile!
