How to Place Learning Blocks for the Best Data Analysis
Traditional Learning Blocks are a great way to put a small trial into a prescription in order to help a Grower answer the question, "What if?" Placement is key and here are some tips for getting the most out of your Learning Blocks!
- Learning Blocks™ should be placed in an area that is consistent within a given zone.
- The surrounding cells that are analyzed buffer the learning block by 115 ft. In this example, you can see that the surrounding cells include 3.8 acres around the Learning Block™, which equates to 45 cells!
- Because of this, your surrounding cells (2 or less blocks) should not include:
- Other Learning Blocks
- Field or boundary boarders
- Waterways
- Terraces
- Utility poles
- Irrigation equipment
- Inconsistent areas that would skew the data (low spots, etc.)
