# How to Update/Recalc a Variable Rate (VR) Prescription (Rx) With Updated Data Without Re-Running the Rec
## If you have a rec run and the data that the equation is pulling from has been changed, you do not have re-run that rec!
Data that may be updated within the system could include:
**- Updated Soil Samples**
**- Yield File was post calibrated or changed**
There are two methods to do this:
**Use this method to Recalc any and ALL equations that have been run for a single field:**
1. Once logged into your PCS account, click on the **Nutrients** tab and then click the "Prescriptions" button.
2. Navigate to the desired Branch, Grower, and Year (Filter down by Field and/or Crop if you desire to do so) and click the "Get Fields" button.
3. Once the you have done this, find the field that you are wanting to "Recalc" or bring new data into the equation, and click the "Recalc" button.
4. The updated data will now be pulled into the equation that is currently being used, without having to re-run the rec!
**To do this in Batch or specific to a single nutrient, use this method:**
1. Select the field(s) that you want to Recalc the data for.
2. Using the "Recalc Recs" dropdown at the top of the Prescriptions page, select the nutrient you wish to recalculate.
3. Once selected, now click the **Recalc** button.
