Merged Polygons Release Notes

  • A new shapefile export option is available on both the Management Zones page and the Enhanced Learning Blocks page. This option combines adjacent polygons that belong to the same zone into simplified shapes, producing smaller files with fewer polygons. This is useful when loading shapefiles into equipment controllers or other systems that have polygon count limitations.

  • The original shapefile export has been renamed to Shapefiles (Full Resolution) and continues to work as before. Both options can be selected at the same time - the merged files will include "_Merged" in the filename to distinguish them.

When exporting merged shapefiles, a notification will appear if any field contains more than 1,500 polygons after merging, letting you know which fields may still have complex geometry.
